Success and addiction....

So, I finished my 30 day challenge on Thursday.  I also adjusted my training coach from the top one to beginner, though I've run 10 kms before, I could tell my body was not up to running 40 + km in a week.
So I'm starting out slow, and finding myself slightly above the beginner walk + run thing, but I'm trying to just use that, so I stay on track as opposed to running myself out. However, I took a rest day on Friday, and and I had a bad day to start, but because I wasn't running or doing anything ( my body was EXHAUSTED) I had no way to let go of that stress, and by the end of the day I wasn't happy at all.
Yesterday I ran 7.2 kms, and my coach warned me against over training. But I incorporated the Spartan abs and running work out, where I jogged ten minutes, then ran for two, jogged for one, did the plank, crunches and the one where you turn with a weight in your hand, then jogged for one min and repeated that three times. Then ran the rest of the way at my normal pace.
Today is supposed to be a "walking" day, so I'll mark that as done, and do a nice long yoga routine to help as well. I really want to get back into hot yoga, but I don't want to start a 30 day trial as I'm going to be pretty busy the next week or two... so I'll just do mine at home.
I also  used my gift certificate, buying an arm band that's actually made for my iPhone ( as opposed to the iPod classic one I was using) and new shoes ( I'm back to my Asics Gel Nimbus that I was using up to my ankle break) I also bought socks and an acuback thing, its a massager that you can warm up, and use it to improve your posture but also as a massager on sore muscles. I ran it over my back, neck and hips yesterday, and worked on some knots, though its definitely a work in progress.
I still feel proud of myself though, I'm still working on it, and I'm getting better, so that's what counts.

Bah... only speed bumps

So, even the day I posted the last post, I wasn't feeling too hot. And it turns out, I wasn't doing well at all. I ended up not being able to eat solid food from Sun - Thurs. I still ran Mon, and the treadmill screen started shifting back and forth, so I ended it at a mile. And went home sick Tuesday.

But thursday, as I was starting to be able to eat solid food again, I walked my mile I needed. Meaning I was just two days behind on my 30 day run. ( Considering I could barely get out of bed for those two days, I give myself leeway)

Friday - 2 km. Sat 3km.  Sun. 5.32 Km. Today, 6.92 km. I just finished day 27/30. Three days to go, but I already started my next running goal, I'm training for a 10 km race. The race is May 11, and my 8 week program will be done a bit before that, but it gives me room for error, and a chance to continue training for what I want to do.

Spartan Trifecta + Tough Mudder.  And if I can do all that, maybe I can manage a half marathon in the fall?

But little steps. Tomorrow my Nike Run coach wants me to do nearly 10 km.  ( today was supposed to be 6.5 but the sensor is a bit off)
