A sombre thought

I tried to run today, but I couldn't. I figured it might help work out the jitters, but after the first couple glitches I just stopped. I ran a mile and that was it. I'm at 96.4 km/100.

Why did I need to work off jitters? Cause monday a Canadian Soldier was run down by a car and killed, others were injured.

And today, while guarding the tomb of the unknown soldier, a Canadian Soldier was gunned down, before the coward ran into the Parliment buildings.

In both instances, these extremists, home grown converts to Islamic terrorism were killed. But here in Canada, this is the first time we've been touched, at home, by the threat overseas. No matter how close to us the attacks on the States were, or how many times Canadian lives were threatened, no one thought this could happen. And now it has.

I'm angry, and sad and a little tired... Tomorrow I'll run. But tonight, I'm going to think about

Cpl. Nathan Frank Cirillo who died today.

And Warrant Officer Patrice Vincent who died on monday.
